About:China Transit Visa

Do I need to get a transit visa for exploring chengdu?

Hii! I am travelling from India to Canada via China and I have a layover of 19 hour in chengdu. As I cannot spend that much time at the airport so I want to go out and explore the city. Do I need a transit visa for this?

IIRC, Chengdu is one of those airports with sterile international-to-international transit facilities so it will be up to the immigration officer to let you leave the airport if you don't have a visa.
