About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

US Citizen Transit Through China

My itinerary include Delta Airline from Detroit to Beijing and then China Southern airline next day from Beijing-Urumqi-Lahore (Pakistan).

Would I need two 24 hours TWOVs? One for Beijing overnight stay and another for Urumqi to cover 13 hours layover.

You need a visa in advance or different flights.

Ejaz, do I understand properly that your planned transit through China will exceed 24 hours? You should count your transit time hours, from your first scheduled landing, in your case in Beijing, until your last scheduled departure, in your case from Urumqi and if the total number of hours exceeds 24 hours, you need a Chinese visa obtained in advance. Since you are a US citizen, you are eligible for 10 year multiple entry Chinese visa and I definitely recommend you to obtain it, especially if you intend to travel to and/or through China in the future.
