About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Philippines passport holder

Hi,
I'll be flying with China southern from austria with 2 stop over : first in Urumqi Diwopu Airport with 5hrs layover and second in guangzhou with 18hrs layover.
I have read that in guangzhou, my passport is entitled to get 24hr transit visa free, however, in Urumqi Diwopu Airport, according to their website only 2hrs is the visa free. Can you please confirm this information or please correct me.

Thank you in advance!

5hrs + 18hrs of transit in China is, 23hrs in total.
Is 24hrs visa free in Urumqi Diwopu Airport applicable?

Jane, unfortunately, you will have to obtain a Chinese transit (G) visa in advance because your entire transit time in China exceeds 24 hours. You are informed that the entire transit time in China is calculated from your first scheduled landing, in your case in Urumqi, until you last scheduled departure, in your case from Guangzhou. You can see by yourself that your itinerary is not within the required time frame, so you are advised to obtain a mentioned visa on time.
