About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

TWOV needed on Jamaican Passport?

Hi there. I am travelling on a Jamaican passport and a UK resident card. I am stopping in Guangzhou for an hour and a half before continuing on to Indonesia. Am I required to apply for a visa or does the TWOV cover me?

Assuming that Guangzhou is your only stop within China, you are definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit and you don't need any kind of visa. Also, I assume that you will fly on a single (through) ticket by China Southern because your layover is quite short.

You will print out your flight tickets and declare at check-in in your origin country that you will travel to Indonesia via Guangzhou using 24 hour visa free transit. After a short inspection, you will be allowed to board the plane. Upon your arrival, you will just have to accomplish the formalities in a bit faster pace to arrive on time for your onward flight to Indonesia.
