About:China Visa

Stop over in Kunming

Hi, I have a flight this December and will have a stopover in Kunming for 23hand 40 minutes and I have a hotel reservation. Do I need a transit visa/visa? Please help. I will be leaving SFO to Kunming to Phuket

You will qualify for the 24-hour visa-free transit. As you have a hotel reservation and your stopover is long, it's very likely that you will be allowed to get out of the airport to have a rest in your hotel.
