About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

going around during the 72 hours

Hello, if i will arrive in Beijing or Shanghai and after 2 days i will go to Hong Kong i think i will be eligible for the 72hours visa. But in these 2 days, may i move to visiting other cities?

Arrival in Beijing is limited to travel around Beijing/Tianjin/Hebei province
Arrival in Shanghai is limited to travel around Shanghai/Jiangsu or Zhejiang province.
You will want to check out the 144 hour transit page as 72 is no longer around in these two areas.
How you go to HK matters as well. Fly or the overnight slow train.
