About:144-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

Can I apply for multiple 144 Visa Free from different country to different region?

I'm US citizen planning to fly to Kunming from Los Angeles ( there is a 2hr layover in Pudong) wanting to apply for the 144 hr. Visa Free at Kunming. From Kunming, I will fly to Hanoi for a few days and then I will fly to Macau for a few days. From Macau, I would like to stop in Shanghai for a few days for a 144 hr Visa Free before I return to US.
Is it possible to do Visa Free in both Kunming and Shanghai this way?

It is not possible, because the stop in Pudong means you are automatically limited to 24 hours transit without visa in China and you do not qualify for 144 hours in Kunming.
