About:Chengdu Shuangliu Airport

I have a layover of about 6 hrs in Chengdu. My flight lands at 7:45 AM.

I am planning to visit the Panda research center.

My flight departure is at 1:30 PM to Beijing. What time should I reach at the airport ? I do not need to check-in. Is it okay if I reach the airport at 12:30? Is it enough time to do security and board the flight?

I am using Sichuan Airlines

Well, generally speaking, you'd better to reach airport at around 12:00.

Hi SJL,
If your day is on weekends, I would not recommend that you visit Panda Base. Because there will be many tourists and when you arrive at the Panda Base, it will be roughly 9:00am. There will be long lines at the gate and you'll get not enought time touring. If your day is on weekday, you can boldly try. But do save enough time for the travel between the Base and the airport. Because it is common that in Chengdu the traffic jam often happens.

Thank you for your suggestion. I will be there on a Thursday. I only have a carry on and would have my boarding pass. I also booked my entrance ticket online on klook so as to escape the line. Hopefully, all will go well.
