12 hrs layover in guangzhou

Question

I am a Malaysian citizenI have a 12 hrs lay over in Guangzhou, would i be able to get this 24hrs visa? will there be any charges?if this is actually possible, i believe i will need to get to the counter to request for it?.. and i think i will also need to inform my airlines prior boarding my flight to Guangzhou..greatly appreciate any pointers

Recent data points indicate that Malaysians are no longer eligible for the 24-hour entry permit under any circumstances since at least August or September. Of course it wouldn't hurt to ask but am afraid you will be getting the same result.
