About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Can you travel via Taipei ?

Travelling from Brisbane to Guangzhou. Staying 3 days and then flying to Taipei and on to Brisbane.

Is this schedule OK to apply for the 72 hour transit visa?

Yes, you are allowed to do this and you will be eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in entire Guangdong province. Please, keep in mind that 72 hour visa free transit has been replaced in Guangdong province by 144 hour visa free transit during the month of May of this year. So, this portion is of interest for Chinese immigration authorities:

Brisbane - Guangzhou - Taipei

It is perfectly eligible, but keep in mind that you are not allowed to have, within this particular segment, to have any additional stop of any kind. After Taipei, you are free to go wherever you want.
