If I have properly understood you, you will be in China for two consecutive week, i.e. for roughly 14 days in continuation. In that case, you should not rely on visa on arrival because such a visa even does not exist as far as Guangzhou is concerned. Also, it is always highly questionable whether the ground staff of the airport in your origin country will allow you to board the plane based on your intention to obtain a Hainan VOA upon your arrival in Hainan. Because of the mentioned, you are advised to apply and obtain a Chinese visa in advance. You will need just a single entry visa, although if your activities will bring you to China more often, you can ask, during your application even for a long term visa. In my opinion the best visa for your need would be F visa. In any case, you are advised against relying on visas on arrival.
