About:Visa on Arrival

Philippine Passport holder asking for an advice :)

Hi! I am a Philippine Passport holder and I will be travelling to HongKong on Dec. 10-15, 2019. I will also visit Macau on my 3rd day of stay and I'm planning to go to Shenzhen on Dec. 14 for a day tour. However, I need to stay there until Dec. 15 , 3am for it is my exit point going back to the Philippines. Can you please advise me on how to obtain a Visa for Shenzhen please? Thank you so much. :)

Unfortunately, Philippine passport holders are not eligible for a VOA at the time being even if they have been granted a Chinese visa previously. This situation leaves you with just two alternatives:

1. To obtain a Chinese tourist (L) visa in advance and I consider this option to be the best

2. To use 24 hour visa free transit within Guangdong province

If you decide to use 24 hour visa free transit, you will have to take a direct flight from Hong Kong to Guangzhou and after your scheduled arrival, you will have exactly 24 hours to stay within Guangdong province, including Guangzhou and SZ. Keep in mind that you will also have to book your train ticket between Guangzhou and SZ online in advance, anyway this is not a problem. There are two daily direct flights between Hong Kong and Guangzhou and you will have to pick one that will maximize your time within Guangdong province. Please, keep in mind that your flight from SZ to Philippines has to be a nonstop flight and its departure has to be within the mentioned 24 hours from your scheduled arrival in Guangzhou.

As you can see, I'm more than certain that the issuing of a Chinese tourist visa will be both less expensive and also you will travel with complete peace of mind.
