About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72 hrs transit visa

Hello, I am Canadian travelling
Toronto -Beijing (change plane) - Guangzhou
Spend 3 days in Guangzhou
Train to HK
Then flight HK to Canada

Am I eligible for the 72hrs transit visa?

Because of your layover in Beijing, I doubt whether you are eligible. You should contact your airline and ask.

Tracy is right. Your itinerary is not eligible for any kind of visa free transit because it is not allowed to have two stops in a row within mainland China and remain eligible for 72 or 144 hour visa free transit. Itineraries with two or more stops within mainland China are allowed only under 24 hour visa free transit.

In other words, you need a visa for your trip or to rearrange the flights to have just a stop in Guangzhou.
