About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hong Kong to Guangzhou to Kolkata, India

Would a High Speed Rail travel from Hong Kong to Guangzhou and then a flight from Guangzhou to Kolkata be eligible for a 24 hours visa free transit?

Unfortunately, not. The only way you can enjoy 24 hour visa free transit in Guangdong province with departure from Hong Kong is to take a direct flight from Hong Kong to Guangzhou. I know that this option is noticeably more expensive, but it is the only one, at least, at the time being.
