About:Chinese Clay Figurine Museum

Flying Route: Kathmandu to Guangzhou - Xi'an, Shaanxi province - Lianyungang, Jiangsu - KTM Monday

Hello,
I am Australian and my travel friend is Nepalese.
Proposed Flying Route:
Kathmandu to Guangzhou landing in China Wednesday 20th November 6:10 AM
Guangzhou to Xi'an, Shaanxi province - landing Thursday 21st November 11:45AM
Xi'an, Shaanxi province - Lianyungang, Jiangsu landing Sunday 24 November 8:55AM
Lianyungang, Jiangsu leaving Tuesday 26th Nov 10:35AM to Kathmandu landing Tuesday 26th November 9:25PM. This is for the purpose of meeting business people that are helping us to manufacture Natural health supplements.
I think I need to apply for a visa, as just over 144 hours, and also I don't think Lianyungang, Jiangsu is covered in the 144 hour visa free listed airports? Do I need to get a visa. Can you also confirm that my Nepalese friend who has a valid Nepalese passport, doesn't need a visa.

Stephanie, unfortunately, both of you need a prearranged visa. There is no exception. You cannot be eligible for any kind of visa free transit because to be eligible for 144 hour visa free transit you need to fly to just one Chinese transit area (Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Qingdao) from a country and after your stay in your Chinese destination, you have to exit directly to country C.

As you can see, you will cross several Chinese transit zones in a row and this is only possible with prearranged visa. By the way, Nepalese citizens are not even eligible for 144 hour visa free transit. So, to accomplish your itinerary, a prearranged visas for both of you are a must.
