About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Necessary to bring previous passport?

I've read on some other website that one should bring their previous passport to apply for the Shenzhen VOA if the current one is less than a year old. Since I didn't have a previous passport does that mean that I should rather apply for a visa beforehand?

John, I haven't heard of such saying. You can go there with your current passport, no need to apply for a new one.
