About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Arrival time for 144 hours

Hi,

If i arrive on December 23rd at 00:10 into Beijing and exit on the 29th 21:20, Based on what I've read above it would start the clock at 00:00 of the 24th. Is this correct?

As the example on this web page say 06:00am the visa would start at 00:00 the following morning.

Dan, you are right. The example you have presented is definitely correct. In reality, the easiest way to understand the time allowed to stay is a formula: arrival day + 144 hours!

By the way, you should be careful that the mentioned 00:10 is your scheduled arrival time and not the time when you have cleared the immigration!
