About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

I want to travel through China for 3-4 weeks before working. How can I arrange this?

I want to travel through China for 3-4 weeks and then I will start working there for one year. For the working part, I need a work visa. How can I make sure that I can travel on beforehand without having to go back to the Netherlands to apply for the work visa between traveling and working? Can I also directly start traveling on a working visa, or would I have to wait for a Residence Permit first?

Dear, to make thing smooth, you had better directly apply for a work visa in your country. After your arrival, you have to wait for about 15 days for the residence permit. Then you can travel a bit before working. And after your work ends, you can convert the work visa into a one-month tourist visa at the local Exit and Entry Administration, so that you can travel in the country again.
