About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

I will be traveling from Bangkok to Beijing on October 27th

And leaving Bangkok on Oct 30th flying to Seattle Washington USA. I will have a flight change in Shanghai once I leave Beijing on the way to Seattle. Does this qualify for the 144 hour visa free transit?

Unfortunately, your itinerary is not eligible for any kind of visa free transit scheme because you plan to travel through two different Chinese transit zones (Beijing and Shanghai) in a row. This is allowed only under 24 hour visa free transit option. You will have to obtain a Chinese tourist (L) visa in advance or to change your flights.
