Visa free travel - I'm from the UK and travelling from Myanmar to Vietnam

Hi, I'm from the UK and travelling from Myanmar to Vietnam and wanted to stop in Guangzhou for 5 days, is this possible on the visa free transit and are there any restrictions if my last Chinese visa was a residence permit as I have lived and worked there in the past, thanks.

This is possible if you fly from a country to Guangzhou and then leave for another country. Your past residence permit won't affect your eligibility for visa-free transit.
