About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

LONDON - SHANGHAI - ?

I am looking to fly to Shanghai, stay for 72 hours, then fly to Hong Kong for 1 week and return to Shanghai for 1 day and fly back to London.

Is this possible without a Visa??

If your nationality is on the list of 53 countries, then this is the simplest valid example of transit without visa.

Thank you Saul. Is this journey also valid under the 144 hour TWOV?

Are you able to stay for up to 72/144 hours on your arrival from country 1 and then again for up to 72/144 hours on your return from country 3 before the flight back home to country 1?

72 hours TWOV has been replaced by 144 hours at Shanghai. The clock resets every time you enter China.
