About:China F Visa

Visa for Short Term Visiting Lecture in China

I am a faculty member and my US university offers some undergraduate classes in China. A Chinese partner university helps us organize the classes there. I am paid in the US, even if I will go to China and teach. I plan to go and teach a course, which lasts for 3 months. Is an M or a F visa sufficient for me? If yes, is a support letter from the Chinese partners university needed? Someone said I will need a Z visa. Is that true?

As you will teach in China, it's very likely that you will be required to get a work Z visa. You can contact the embassy and ask.
