About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I'm sure we're covered - just want to check please

I believe we are covered but want to quadruple check please - New Zealand Hong Kong - Tianjin - Cruise the next morning from Tianjin to Singapore with stops in Japan, Taiwan Hong Kong Vietnam then fly back to NZ from Singapore?

Thank you - We are not going to Beijing - flying from Hong Kong to Tianjin and out first stop is Taipei on the cruise. Thank you

Yes, you are covered in principle, but here are a couple of conditions that your itinerary has to fulfill:

- Your flight from Hong Kong to Beijing has to be non-stop
- Your cruise is not allowed to have its first port of call. immediately after Tianjin, in mainland China

If the above conditions are fulfilled, you will be definitely eligible for 24/144 hour visa free transit in Beijing area. Whether it will be 24 or 144 hour TWOV depends on the entire time, from your scheduled arrival in Beijing, until your scheduled departure from Tianjin. Basically, this is the same for you, but you should calculate the entire transit time, so that you can tell exact type of your TWOV to the relevant authorities.
