Well, according to your itinerary, you are not eligible for the 144 hours visa free policy. You can only have one stop in Mainland China. Thus you need to apply for the Chinese visa in advance in your country.

The information provided by Claire is misleading because we are not talking about 144 hour visa free transit in your particular case. You are eligible for 24 hour visa free transit, as I have already explained below and you really don't need any kind of visa for your transit in both directions.
