About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

Registration form of temporary residence

I am from India. Do I require a registration form of temporary residence for visa extension? Or is it only required for overseas visitors?
And If I do, it has to be done within 24 hours of arrival, but it has been 2 weeks now that I haven't registered and am living in a hotel. What to do now?

You need it for visa extension. As you live in a hotel, the hotel should have already register for you. You can go to the nearby police station to get this form.

That's wrong. If you stay in a hotel, the police can't give u the temporary registration form. I had to find a friend and use his apartment address until I got that form.
