About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Am I eligible for a 144 hour visa free transit

Hello, I am traveling from London to Beijing, then to Taipei. Then I'll fly back to London with a short stop over in Beijing which I won't leave the airport.

LHR - PEK 19th October
PEK - TPE 24th October
TPE - PEK - LHR - 31st October.

I think that means I am eligible to travel without a visa.

You are definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit during your first arrival in Beijing and your return layover in Beijing will be covered by 24 hour visa free transit. To conclude, you really don't need any kind of visa.
