About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Wuhan

Since there were no direct flights from London to Wuhan, my flight has a layover in Shanghai.

Will the transit in Shanghai affect my eligibility for the 144 hr stay permit once I land in Wuhan?

Zupan, thank you so much for your reply. It is very confusing that even a layover (without leaving customs) will make the 144 hr permit invalid. I have also found the direct flight from London to Wuhan; thanks!

Yes, it definitely will. In reality, it will limit you to just 24 hour visa free transit. In case if you intend to stay longer in Wuhan (up to 144 hours), you are advised to change your flights. In reality, there is a direct flight from London to Wuhan on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays operated by China Southern Airlines, flight CZ674.
