I am entitled to a 72 or 144 hour transit visa?

I am a UK citizen, travelling alone, visiting Hong Kong from October 20th - October 28th. I have booked flights and a tour to Beijing from October 21st - October 24th, am I entitled to a 72 or 144 hour transit visa?

Your travel route in China is Hong Kong-Beijing-Hong Kong, which is not a transit but a visit and apparently not eligible for the 72 or 144-hour visa free transit. You need to apply for a tourist L visa to Beijing in advance.
