About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

Hongkong to Chengdu to Bangkok 144 hrs transit visa

Flight Hongkong to Chengdu on 30.9.19 20:50-23:45
Flight Chengdu to Bangkok on 7.10.19 14:55-17:05
Question: these are actually 7 nights stay. But if i pass immigration in chengdu airport on 30.9.after midnight. That means on 1.10. at about 00:30 early morning, based on regulations the 144 visa starts counting approx. 23 hours later the following midnight.
So it should be possible to depart chengdu on 7.10. Is that correct?

That is not correct, and you must either get a visa or change your flight. It's totally irrelevant what time you clear immigration, because the time is calculated on scheduled arrival and departure times. So you will definitely be denied boarding in Hong Kong.
