About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Is visa required travelling Norway-Beijing then Beijing to Manila?

Hi.
My name is Sbelinda. Im a Norwegian citizen.Im planning to travel to Philippines via Beijing. My iterenary is Oslo to Beijing Taking SAS airline and then Beijing to Manila with Cebu pacific air. Do i need to Apply for transitt visa?

In case if your transit time in Beijing is less than 24 hours, you are definitely eligible for 24 visa free transit in Beijing and you don`t need any kind of visa. In case if your transit time is longer than 24 hours, then you have to obtain a Chinese transit (G) visa in advance. By the way, traveling on separate tickets and with different airlines as is in your case is totally acceptable for 24 visa free transit. You will just apply for free entry permit upon your landing in Beijing and after that you will be able to collect your luggage and to perform new check-in for Cebu Pacific flight to Manila.
