About:China Transit Visa

is transit visa for Canadian Permanent resident necessary?

i have a 12.5 hour transit in Kunming airport and a 1.45 hour transit in Shanghai. would i be needing a transit visa? i will be travelling from Toronto to Dhaka.

Imran, please calculate the time gap between your schedule arrival and departure. If it's not more than 24 hours, you don't need the transit visa.

Hi Rita, I really appreciate your response. Yes, I’m within the 24 hour frame. I was worried because I’m not a Canadian citizen with a Canadian passport as of yet. currently I’m a permanent resident of Canada and I have a PR card for that, so I was wondering whether the 24 hour transit rule would apply for me or would I have to apply for the transit. Thank you
