The medical checks are expensive, any advice, what have other people done?

Ended up costing around £400 not to bad, but with the Visa still quite a lot. Thanks for the reply!!

expensive ? i don't think so it is expensive in china . maybe it is expensive in UK, and you also need to certificate it in china embassy. you could come to china first then go to appointed hospital to do . i am in shenzhen , specialized in work visa service . first time to hear such feedback.
