In reality, you could use 24 hour visa free transit option. A little bit complicated, but maybe you would be interested in. Here are the steps:
- Take the earliest possible flight from Manila to Guangzhou. You will declare in Manila that you will be traveling to Hong Kong via Guangzhou. You will also present your ferry ticket from Shenzhen Shekou or Guangzhou Nansha port to Hong Kong. You will book this ferry ticket online in advance and use an e-confirmation that you will receive in your email.
- Upon arrival in Guangzhou you will approach 24 hour visa free transit counter where you will apply for 24 hour free entry permit. You will present your ferry ticket, in reality an e-confirmation as a proof that you will transit in Guangdong province with the final destination in Hong Kong. After your entry permit is granted you will exit the airport building
- You will stay in Guangzhou until the time necessary to catch your ferry from Nansha port or Shenzhen Shekou port. Nansha port has one huge advantage because it is located on Gunagzhou metro line number 4, so you can reach it by local public transport for your ferry to Hong Kong
- After you reach Hong Kong, you will catch your plane back to Philippines.
