About:Visa on Arrival

Training to Hong Kong and wish to visit Shenzhen, is 5 day visa still available for UK citizens?

I will be visiting at beginning of October.

Yes, it is. The best port of entry is definitely Lo Wu / Luhou border crossing and the price for UK citizens is 304 CNY. You should bring this amount in Chinese currency that you can easily obtain at one of many money changers in Hong Kong. They also accept several credit cards, but since I don't know whether you have one that would be eligible, cash is probably your best bet. One more detail... You should bring your passport size photo.
