About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Auckland - Shanghai then board cruise to Hong kong

Hi we arrive in Shanghai by plane and stay overnight 15 hrs. We board cruise then fly out of Singapore. I have uk passport.
We I need a visa?

I rechecked we are in Shanghai for 27 hours not 15. I made a mistake.
The cruise heads for Singapore stopping in HongKong then Vietnam finishing in singapore.
Will I need a visa?

Andrea, if your itinerary is exactly like this:

Auckland - Shanghai - Hong Kong

And you don't have any additional stop of any kind between the mentioned cities, you are definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit in Shanghai and you don't need a visa of any kind.

Anyway, I encourage you to recheck your flight and cruise itinerary, just for a case because it is quite unusual, although not impossible, that the cruise ships sail directly from Shanghai to Hong Kong.
