About:Visa on Arrival

Hi, i have one entry visa for china for a travel starting 9th September.

Could i obtain a visa for Shenzhen having the other one? Im at HK, and i will go to Shenzhen and come back the same day

No, unfortunately, you cannot have two concurrent Chinese visas. It is possible to obtain a Shenzhen VOA only when you don't have any other valid Chinese visa in your passport. In other words, if you decide to go to Shenzhen tomorrow, the immigration authorities would collect your single entry visa upon your arrival at the border crossing. The only way to preserve your single entry visa and to arrive in Shenzhen is to take a flight from Hong Kong to Guangzhou and after that to take a train to Shenzhen and from Shenzhen a ferry to Macau. That would be 24 or even 144 hour visa free transit scheme if you stay for more than 24 hours in Guangdong province. During the mentioned visa free transit schemes, it is allowed to preserve your single entry visa because visa free transit is not considered as any form of visa.
