About:SG04-INTL

un-married foreigner with Chinese spouse and baby

I am a Canadian/ Australian, I had a baby with a Hunan lady and we live in Shanghai where our daughter was born 2 years ago. Presently I am on 60day tourist Visa. I would like to know if I can apply for a Q1 Visa or residency Visa. Secondly Can I apply for a Q1 or Q2 for my mother who wants to move here for a few months at a time each year to help us take care of the baby.

You cannot apply for the Q1 visa or permanent residency permit if you don't have a marriage certificate. You cannot apply for Q1 or Q2 for your mother either.
