About:Visa on Arrival

Hello, I have France passport, and my friend too.my tkt is SGN-SZX-SGN

Can I get this VOA at SZX cause when I check some website they said that just only from HKG-SZX (Luohu Port Huanggang Port_ can get this VOA, if the flight direct to SZX( SZX airport) can not get VOA

Part one:

You can get a Shenzhen VOA at arrival, but you can also make a back-up plan that will allow you to travel completely with a peace of mind.

Assuming that you intend to stay in Shenzhen for more than 24 hours, I suggest you to book a ferry on Chu Kong Passenger Transport company website that runs between Shenzhen Shekou terminal to Hong Kong Macau ferry terminal in Hong Kong. This ticket has to be at least 24 hours + 1 minute after your scheduled arrival by plane in Shenzhen.

In reality, you will declare at HCMC check-in that you intend to apply for a Shenzhen VOA upon your landing in Shenzhen. In case that the airport staff allows you to board the plane, you will apply for a Shenzhen VOA upon your landing and then you are allowed to enjoy your time there until your return flight back to HCMC. Also when you receive your Shenzhen VOA, you will cancel your ferry ticket online and receive a refund minus certain amount of imposed service charge.

Part two:

In case that the airport staff decide not to allow you to board the plane, you will use your second option and present them your ferry e-confirmation and will declare that you have changed your mind and that you will travel on 144 hour TWOV to Hong Kong via Shenzhen. Please, have in mind that when you declare that you will travel on 144 TWOV, you are not allowed to change your mind upon your landing in Shenzhen because your statement made in HCMC will appear at the screens of Chinese immigration because China is an API country.

So, if you are forced to use this back-up option, you will travel on 144 hour TWOV, you will take a ferry from Shenzhen to Hong Kong and you can immediately return to Shenzhen using Lo Wu / Luohu border crossing where you will obtain a Shenzhen VOA. You will continue your stay in Shenzhen until your departure back to HCMC.

I'm not telling you this to bother you or to complicate your travel, but just to assure you with this back-up option, so that you really can travel with the peace of mind.
