Change flight in Sanya

Hey guys.
A quick one!
I’m going to from hang Zhou to Sanya Change flight back to uk!
But we need to stop in Sanya for 11 hours (arrive 00:15 at the midnight), do I need a visa or apply a visa for it? As we will be just get out to the airport hotel to sleep and get back airport like 8am in the morning!
Can do the transit visa at the airport or I need to do it now at the Chinese Embassy in uk?

If you transfer in mainland China less than 24 hours, then you are eligible for the 24-hour visa-free transit. So how much time will you stay in Hangzhou and Sanya?

Thank you Nancy!

I just change my flight in Sanya and im there for 11hours!
But I need to get out to get my suitcase and go to check in again for the flight from Sanya to London!

Do you think I can get a 24 hours transit visa at the Sanya Airport or I need to go to China embassy in London to get the visa first?

Sylvia, could you, please, offer your entire itinerary because it simply cannot start in Hangzhou. Hangzhou could be only one of your two stops within mainland China. Anyway, there should be some other airport outside mainland China from where you will arrive in Hangzhou.
