About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

I only have a scanned copy of my notorised marriage certificate.

and I need to extend my visa ,is it acceptable?and what happens if I apply for my extension later than the required 7 days before expiry?

if you are about to extend the S visa or Q visa, both the origin and photocopy of your marriage certificate are needed. You'd better extend it at least 7 days before you old one expires, or you will overstay visa and have to pay fine for that.
