About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visa transit in Wuhan and Guangzhou

I'm Vietnamese passport holder and I'm going to have flights back from JFK - New York to Viet Nam with 2 connections in Wuhan (2hrs) and in Guangzhou (2hrs). Do I need to apply entry visa/transit visa in advance or am I eligible for getting 24hrs transit visa in Wuhan? Thanks!

Thanks for your advice.
However, could you advise where I can get the confirmation letter for this when I will be checked in at JFK airport just in case check-in counter staff require me to show a China entry visa. Since, we have checked to the local China Southern Airlines, they asked me to apply transit/entry visa in advance :( :(
Thanks very much,

You tell the check-in agent at JFK that you are “in transit without visa” and show them your confirmed onward flight ticket. If there’s any problem you should tell them “check TIMATIC, with Vietnam as the destination and China as the transit”. Please use these exact words. It is absolutely a waste of time to contact the airline office or call centre in advance.
