About:Chinese Embassy in Nigeria

Passport update

I rearranged the name in my passport and now and with a new passport and an old passport with my Chinese resident permit.Do I need to apply for visa on the new passport or just travel with the resident permit in my old passport?

You need to apply for a new visa because the names on your two passports are different.

Please note this answer is wrong.You don’t need a new visa.You simply travel with old and new passport when you get to China,within 10days of entering China you then go to the local immigration service of your city and transfer the resident permit to the new passport and also correct the name in their database
