About:Chinese Consulate in Toronto

Do we need any type of visa for our 22hours stopover in Shanghai.

We are travelling to Indonesia but have a stopover in Shanghai for 22 hrs. We will be leaving the airport to go to a hotel in Shanghai.
We have Canadian passports.

Fatima, if you are in a transit, and you don't have other layovers in mainland China, and your route is Countru A- Shanghai - Country C, then you can use the visa-free transit policy.
