About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

can I get transit without visa 24 hours for Shenzhen?

My itinerary: HU758 28 Oct dep CDG 1105, arr SZX 0555 + 1 day; HU7016 29 Oct dep SZX 2330, arr HAK 0050 + 1 day; HU483 dep HAK 0130, arr MEL 1400. I have an Australian passport. I would like to look around SZX for a few hours. Regards, Michael

Michael, you are definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit because your entire transit time is less than 24 hours. Also, you will apply for 24 hour free entry permit upon your landing in Shenzhen and this permit will be definitely granted because you will transfer from an international to a domestic flight. In other words, you will have quite a nice time to explore the Shenzhen area.

The only detail that worries me is your extremely short time for a transfer between the two flights in Haikou. I just hope you are traveling on a single (through) ticket, thus making Hainan Airlines responsible for this particular connection.
