Registration of accommodation upon arrival with X1 visa - specific location?
Hello. I have arrived in Beijing on an X1 visa for a university in Shanghai. I am renting an apartment in Beijing and I plan to stay here a few days before going to Shanghai to apply for the temporary residence permit (within 30 days). Is it possible for me to register my accommodation in Beijing in the meantime or will they require that I go to Shanghai to register for the first time there?
