About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Philippines passport with Canadian Permanent Resident Card

Hey, I have a Philippines passport with Canadian PR Card. I'm traveling to Bangkok but have a layover in Shanghai for 4hrs. Will I need to apply for a visa?

Assuming that you will be traveling from Canada to Bangkok via China with the above mentioned layover, you are definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit in Shanghai. In other words, you don't need any kind of visa.
