144 hrs visa free?

Hi, we think about arriving in Shenzhen by plane, staying a couple of days and going to Hongkong, where our cruise ship starts. Will we qualify for the 144 hrs visa free transit when leaving the country on foot to HK?Thanks, Thomas

You may have a problem when you board your flight to Shenzhen. The rule is that you must show a confirmed flight, rail or cruise ticket to a third country. I can imagine an airline agent refusing to board you if you say you are leaving on foot.
