About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

About the air ticket

i am travelling from Bangkok to Shenzhen, and Shenzhen to Brussels, should I purchase the ticket from the same company? Or can I purchase one ticket first from one airline to Shenzhen, and then purchase another air ticket from another company from Shenzhen to Brussels?

You can purchase two totally different and unrelated tickets from different companies. This is perfectly fine. It is important that you have a hard copy of your onward flight ticket. Your itinerary is eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in the entire Guangdong province, so you can even fly into Shenzhen and depart from Guangzhou. Anyway, whatever airport you decide to use, you are not allowed to have any additional landing within mainland China.
