About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

Hi, just to be completely sure: I have a ticket from Rome, Italy to Beijing and back to Rome after 5 days because I will be attending a conference in Beijing.
In that case I have to apply for a Visa? I am not eligible for the 144 hours?

You need a visa or different flights, because you’re not in transit to a third country.
