About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

London - Shanghai - Hong Kong - London

Hi, I am flying from London to Shanghai (staying there for 2 nights) and then onwards to HK (without spending a night there) and returning to London. Would there be a problem with TWOV in Shanghai?
Thank you,
Michal

If your passport is from one of the 53 qualifying countries, there won’t be a problem. Why do you think there might be?

Thank you for your response.

My only concern was lack of accommodation in HK, but I understand that this is not required and only having an onward flight ticket from Shanghai to HK is enough. Is that correct?

If you are transiting HK for less than a day then a hotel reservation is not required. HK is a separate immigration jurisdiction where immigration rules are relatively more transparent and immigration officers do not bother checking people from developed countries.
